Players are reporting to Steelers training camp, and it is always a fun day which resembles a first day of school for those in the football world.

This is just the start of Pittsburgh having their football team form into a collective group. It also allows for different players to show up in unique ways, and also speak to the media.

Many fans will be glad to hear the Steeler's first-round pick from this past draft was one of the first to show up. He spoke to the media after getting his bags in the door and had some fun but was also not afraid to talk about serious business. Besides getting ready for a musical performance at the rookie show, he is looking forward to facing one of the best defensive players in the NFL.

Nick Farabaugh of Penn Live covers the Steelers, and he was part of the media scrum who spoke to Fautanu.

T.J. Watt is on the mind of the first-round pick as he hopes going up against him every day will make him a better player. If Fautanu wants to get playing time this season, he will have to show that he can take on guys like Watt each week.

Be ready for some rookie growing pains at training camp for Fautanu, but he should be able to settle in after a week or two.

Troy Fautanu will have to earn the starting job at right tackle

It is going to be an uphill battle for Fautanu to win the starting job at right tackle if the Steelers continue their trend from last season.

Broderick Jones had to sit on the bench for a while until he finally got a starting job. Don't expect Fautanu to be much different, at least not to start training camp. Dan Moore Jr. will start camp as the top right tackle. He needs to prove himself on that side just as much as Pittsburgh's first-round pick does. Both have been primarily left tackles during their careers.

Time and performance will be the ultimate factor when it comes to the outcome of this battle. Fautanu will need to overcome the odds and show he is more deserving of the spot over Moore to have a shot at making the starting lineup in week one of the regular season. If the rookie struggles out of the gate at camp, then he might not get an opportunity.

Everyone wants Moore to relinquish his starting job, but he is an experienced guy who the coaches rely on.
