As we countdown the hours before the official 2023 NFL schedule release, we are already hearing about some leaks and rumors regarding the Pittsburgh Steelers. Since January 10th, we have known every opponent Mike Tomlin's team is slated to play this year, but now we are hearing about the dates and times some of these games will occur.

Andrew Fillipponi of 93.7 The Fan and Matt Schneidman of The Athletic have already released some Steelers schedule leaks on Twitter. Here are the rumored games we know of so far:

Steelers schedule leaks 2023:

  • Week 1: TBD vs San Francisco 49ers
  • Week 2: TBD vs Cleveland Browns, TBD
  • Week 3: Sunday Sept. 24th, TBD @ Las Vegas Raiders, TBD
  • Week 4: TBD @ Houston Texans, TBD
  • Week 5: TBD vs Baltimore Ravens
  • Week 7: Sunday, October 22nd, @ Los Angeles Rams, TBD
  • Week 10: Sunday, Nov. 12th, 1 p.m. vs Green Bay Packers, CBS
  • Week 11: TBD @ Cleveland Browns, TBD
  • Week 12: Sunday Nov. 19th, TBD @ Cincinnati Bengals, TBD
  • Week 17: Sunday Dec. 31st, TBD @ Seattle Seahawks, TBD
  • Week 18: TBD @ Baltimore Ravens

There's nothing too exciting at this point. We have yet to learn about any primetime games the Pittsburgh Steelers will have or when they could take place. Based on the leaks from Fillipponi and Schneidman, it sounds like the Steelers will play the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, September 24th, and will host the Packers a few weeks later on November 12th.

The Raiders are a team that the Steelers have on their 2023 schedule due to seeding from the 2022 season. They do not play the whole AFC West this year. Historically, Pittsburgh has struggled on the road against the Raiders, but they did take them down in a bitter-cold game on Christmas Eve last year -- thanks in large part to a game-winning drive by Kenny Pickett.

Meanwhile, the Packers no longer have Aaron Rodgers at the helm, so Pittsburgh may catch a break here. Instead, unproven quarterback Jordan Love will be calling the shots. This will be an early-afternoon home game for the Steelers at Acrisure Stadium.

One of the most highly-anticipated games this season will be the Steelers on the road against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 12. This game will take place over Thanksgiving weekend and could have big implications on late in the season when it comes to the standings in the AFC North.

It's also possible that, in order to have a shot at the playoffs, the Pittsburgh Steelers may be required to win a difficult road game on the west coast against the Seattle Seahawks. This game will take place on New Year's Eve.
