Last week was a reset point for the Steelers as they got to enjoy their bye week. It was an early bye, but this team desperately needed it. They will hope to find the same success following their bye as they did last year. Plenty of issues litter this team right now, and it will be tough to fix most of them. Pittsburgh will have to learn to continue their football teams heart-wrenching outcomes each week.

Mike Tomlin and company do not seem as concerned with the current situation as most outside the organization. Hopefully, they understand what it will take to push this team in the right direction for the remaining schedule ahead. Week seven of the NFL will have a lot of interesting matchups that could pose as future Super Bowl and playoff games.

2023 season prediction record after week 6: 49-28

Last week was an overall success for this series as most predictions were correct. The good was able to outweigh the bad in that sense. Some shocking upsets turned the tides a little. The fact that the Steelers didn't play did not dissuade this series from another week of predictions. This week of matchups ahead will not ease any decisions on the picks made.

Jacksonville Jaguars (4-2) vs New Orleans Saints (3-3), Thursday at 8:15 P.M. EST

Prediction: Jaguars 24, Saints 21

New Orleans has been playing too inconsistent heading into this game, while the Jaguars are riding a nice win streak. Jacksonville will have to figure out if Trevor Lawrence can start at quarterback, or if he will need to rest this week. It seems like he might play, which will give the Jaguars a boost. Much of this outcome will depend on which version of the Saints show up.

Lawrence might struggle if he plays since his lack of practice snaps will likely hinder him. The Saints have a shot if their defense can play well and cause a turnover or two. This could very well be an upset alert for this week. When it comes down to it, Jacksonville is playing good football right now and they should be able to win on the road even with a weakened Lawrence.
