Steelers take advantage of slipping talent in latest 2023 mock draft
Steelers mock draft round 3: LB Henry To'oTo'o
A couple of linebackers were signed in free agency, but that should not detract the black and gold from adding to the position through the draft. Plenty of the top personnel of the Steelers were in attendance for the Alabama pro day. Brian Branch got most of the attention, but do not let that distract you from the different prospects coming out of that program.
Henry To'oTo'o is the selection here as the undersized linebacker should be able to join the group and provide something that it is missing. The biggest knock on this player is his size, but he does possess better athleticism in defending the pass than others currently signed to the team. Both Cole Holcomb and Elandon Roberts will take the immediate pressure off To'oTo'o, but he should be able to come onto the field in passing situations.
Steelers mock draft round 3: OC Luke Wypler
The black and gold are doing a lot of homework on different center options in this draft class. Mason Cole will be the starter this season but do not be surprised if they take one this year. Cole will be the starter, but he is only signed for another season before becoming a free agent again.
Taking Luke Wypler here allows them to upgrade the interior of the offensive line and push Cole for the starting center spot. The Steelers also dinned with Wypler at the same time that they ate with Jones and his other teammates at Ohio State. Taking Wypler here only adds more depth and competition to the center position, which will hopefully be anchored for the foreseeable future.
