Vance Joseph could fill two roles on the coaching staff for Pittsburgh

If the Steelers decide to go with an outside hire for this position, look no further than Vance Joseph to get a look. He has not been the most successful coach in the NFL, but he has held the title of Head Coach in the league before. He would be a tremendous hire that could provide some new things to the black and gold during the upcoming season.

Currently, Joseph is still under the employment of the Arizona Cardinals, but they just hired their new Head Coach. They made it official yesterday and brought on board a defensive-minded guy that could look to clean house when it comes to the current coaching staff. That would make this candidate a free agent to look to sign elsewhere at any time he wishes.

Pittsburgh needs someone to come in and fill the void at the Assistant Head Coaching position, but this hire could bring along other fixes as well. The black and gold are in need of a defensive assistant for their staff as well since Brian Flores was hired by the Minnesota Vikings. Joseph could fill both of those roles and provide an extra defensive mind to the coach's room. It would seem that Joseph would not stay too long with the Steelers, like Flores, but he would be a huge benefit to this young football team.
