Steelers training camp location

The Pittsburgh Steelers will hold their 2024 training camp at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. This is a partnership that has been running since 1966 (with the exception of the COVID-19 years in 2020 and 2021).

How to watch Steelers training camp

Unfortunately, full practices will not be aired for public viewing, but there are several ways to catch the training camp action. You can follow 'Training Camp Live', which is streamed on Steelers.com. This program takes a look at the field as players are warming up and touches on big training camp topics. There is also 'Training Camp Wrap Up' on Steelers.com that rehashes the biggest moments from practice.

You can also listen to coverage on Steelers Nation Radio. However, the best way to catch the action is to be present for it. Fans can secure free tickets to training camp through Steelers.com. There is bleacher and hillside seating at Saint Vincent College where fans can keep a watchful eye on four practice fields during the two-hour practice sessions.

Steelers positional battles to watch at training camp

There are several intriguing positional battles fans will want to keep an eye on at Steelers training camp this year. Wide receivers are fighting for pecking order outside of George Pickens as players like Roman Wilson, Calvin Austin III, Van Jefferson, Quez Watkins, and Scotty Miller look to prove why they belong in the WR2 discussion.

On the offensive line, rookie first-round pick Troy Fautanu will attempt to prove why he is worthy of holding a starting job from the gate, while second-round pick, Zach Frazier, will do the same at the center position.

Defensively, there is a crowded group of young players who will showcase their skills on the interior defensive line. Meanwhile, the linebackers Patrick Queen, Payton Wilson, Cole Holcomb, and Elandon Roberts will soon find out how their workloads will be divided, and there are several young, athletic cornerbacks jousting for position after Joey Porter Jr. and Donte Jackson.

Under-the-radar storylines at Steelers training camp

One of the biggest topics of discussion throughout the offseason was the quarterback position. Will Justin Fields be given a fair shot to compete with veteran Russell Wilson at training camp? This is a question we could see answered at Steelers camp this summer.

However, an under-the-radar storyline is the depth of the cornerback position. It's clear the Steelers want to move toward long, press-coverage cornerbacks. A few players like Cory Trice and Darius Rush fit the bill, but veteran Donte Jackson does not. Can one of their young cornerbacks do enough to prove themselves worthy of a significant role in 2024?

Fans will also be intrigued to find out if there is a wide receiver worthy of starting alongside George Pickens or if the Steelers need to make a blockbuster trade for a starting wide receiver before the season.
