Following their second straight embarrassing loss to a two-win football team late in the season, the Pittsburgh Steelers are just one strike away from half of the fanbase checking out of their 2023 season altogether. In the first half of the year, Mike Tomlin's squad found a way to win football games in ugly fashion. Now the team has dropped 3 of their last 4 four contests and is on the verge of falling out of the playoff picture.
If the 2023 season ended before the start of Week 15, the Steelers would secure the 6th seed in the AFC. Ironically, the team directly underneath them in the 7th seed is the team that they face this weekend. The potential ramifications of a loss this week stem far beyond a switch in the playoff picture.
With a whopping six AFC teams tied at 7-6 heading into Week 15, the Steelers could potentially see a catastrophic slide in the standings following this weekend's results. This contest against the Indianapolis Colts could make or break their season. Here's everything you need to know.
Steelers vs. Colts Game Time:
The Steelers schedule looks a bit wonky this week. Even though there are four weeks left in the 2023 regular season, Pittsburgh will be one of six teams playing on Saturday this week. Their game against the Indianapolis Colts is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 16th.
Steelers vs. Colts Location:
After two straight home games -- both of which resulted in losses -- the Steelers are on the road for Week 15. They will be playing in a dome at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Pittsburgh is 3-2 when playing on the road this season. Weather conditions will not play a factor this week, but injuries certainly could.

Steelers vs. Colts Odds:

What to Watch for in Steelers vs. Colts Game:
Colts' quarterback Gardner Minshew isn't exactly the cream of the crop, but you can certainly argue that his play has been better than anything the Steelers have had to work with this year. With Kenny Pickett ruled out for Saturday's contest, Mitch Trubisky will once again get the start -- making this a less-than-desirable quarterback matchup in Week 15.
The Colts might not have a lot of firepower, but they are a well-rounded team that has won 4 of their last 5 games dating back to before their Week 11 bye. Somehow, Indy is 8th in the NFL in scoring offense -- managing 24.2 points per game, per Team Rankings. This is more than a touchdown more than the Steelers per contest (16.2 points per game).
With a banged-up defense, can the Steelers do enough to slow down the Colts this week or are we in for a third straight loss? Both of these teams are 7-6. The winner could climb in the AFC playoff picture while the loser could plummet in the postseason race.
