Steelers in for a Stressful Sunday Night?

The new roster update in Madden apparently brought the sim Steelers back to reality. Kenny Pickett looked wildly inaccurate for a significant portion of the game, but, just as he was in last year's meeting between these teams, was cool and calculated when the game came down to it.

Pickett finished with a 52% completion percentage, 227 yards, two TDs, one pick, and a fumble lost, adding four rushes for 44 yards. While Pickens and Austin stepped up in clutch moments, no Steelers receiver was able to make too much of an impact in the game. Harris was also settled on the ground game with 16 carries for 60 yards and a touchdown, adding two catches for 19 yards. Much more realistic numbers for him.

Defensively, the Steelers were solid and only gave up production to the second-best-rated receiver in the video game. Adams had seven receptions for 79 yards and a touchdown, while Garoppolo completed just 56% of his passes for 128 yards. Jacobs was a non-factor in the game with nine carries for just 31 yards.

The Hail Mary finish was fun, but as with any Madden sim, we can't exactly expect similar results on Sunday night. Nonetheless, a low-scoring defensive affair does make some sense for the matchup. We'll see how it plays out and hopefully, at the very least, the Steelers mimic the win from the Madden simulation.
