Pittsburgh was able to pull off the upset at home this past Monday night as they defeated the Cleveland Browns. Wins will struggle to come at an uglier rate than what happened that night, but a win is a win, nonetheless. The Steelers will finally head on the road this week for the first time this season as they get ready to take on the Las Vegas Raiders.
There are a lot of issues still plaguing this team of black and gold as they try and figure things out on the go. The Raiders are in the same boat as their offense is a problem and their secondary has a lot of holes that cannot be remedied. Both clubs see this as a "fix it" game, but only one will be able to come out on top once the clock strikes zero.
Things to pay close attention to as the Steelers meet against the Raiders
Kenny Pickett and the offense is going to be the focus each week going forward. This week should be one where Pickett can make some plays throwing the ball and getting back into a flow of things in the NFL. Las Vegas has one of the worst secondaries in the NFL when it comes to yardage allowed through the air. This will be a big game for the young quarterback.
The defense has to stop the run this week and force Jimmy Garoppolo to beat you through the air. The Steelers secondary is not great either, but they should be able to apply pressure and cause a turnover or two if they shut down the run. Pittsburgh should feel better this week in terms of coming out of this contest with a victory than in past weeks. It will be up to them to get there.
