The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly of Steelers preseason Week 2 win vs Bills
The Bad: Steelers Rushing Attack Overall
Sans the Jaylen Warren 62-yard touchdown, the straightforward rushing attack was lackluster for the Steelers offense for a second -straight week.
The rushing average without Warren's touchdown run was a paltry 1.8 yards per carry, and even that was inflated by another Mason Rudolph scramble. The running backs are struggling to find space to maneuver while the offensive line is struggling to create holes.
Last week the reserve offensive line was the "Ugly", but this week the pass blocking was rather solid. The run blocking was lackluster for everyone except Warren. No back averaged more than three yards per carry. Najee Harris averaged 3.0 yards per carry to lead the backfield outside of Warren, quarterbacks, and wide receivers.
Bringing up the rear, Anthony McFarland had nine carries for two yards, a sharp decline from his performance in Week 1.
It's a joint effort between the backs and offensive line. While the starting five looked great on Warren's run, the unit still needs to button things up on a consistent basis.
