These 5 NFL combine participants would be perfect fits for the Steelers

4) WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Ohio State

There's a lot of talk in Pittsburgh about reuniting QB Kenny Pickett with his favorite receiver at Pitt, Jordan Addison. Not the worst idea if Addison's available at 17, but I honestly like a healthy Jaxon Smith-Njigba better (he missed most of last season with a hamstring injury).

Smith-Njigba's about an inch taller than Hines Ward but reminds me of 86 with his body type (both have 30.5-inch arms and 9.0-inch hands at their combine) and the shiftiness he displays as a route-runner from the slot. But unfortunately for the Steelers, he won't last until the third round of the draft like Ward did in 1998, so they'll likely have to use their first-round pick if they want him.

Smith-Njigba has Pittsburgh ties with his brother Canaan an outfielder for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Pairing JSN as a slot receiver with George Pickens and Diontae Johnson would give Pickett one of the best receiver groups in the league.
