Top 4 free agent slot WR targets for the Steelers

Jarvis Landry's veteran presence could be great for Kenny Pickett
The Steelers are relatively young at the receiver position as a whole. Diontae Johnson is the most experienced of the bunch when you look at guys who had significant playing time last season. He will be 27 years old at the start of the 2023 season. The Steelers could use some veteran leadership in the WR core to help mentor guys like George Pickens and Calvin Austin III.
His injury history is cause for concern, as he only managed to suit up for nine games as a member of the New Orleans Saints last year when he caught 25 passes for 272 yards and just one touchdown, per ESPN. Landry has dealt with nagging lower body injuries for the last couple of years and his production has suffered. Mediocre QB play has not helped him out either. However, he should command a team-friendly price tag should the Steelers inquire about signing the veteran.
Landry was once a model of consistency just two short years ago and can operate as a safety blanket in the slot for Kenny Pickett. Jarvis Landry's ability to make tough catches and his route running is still a part of his game. If he can stay healthy, Landry could be a very underrated signing for the Steelers next season and can leave a lasting impact on many of Pittsburgh's young offensive weapons.
