FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT.
Training Camp Fights are the best. On the spectrum that is Boxing Matches to Baseball Fights, Training Camp Fights fall somewhere right in the middle. There's almost always huge team clusters – a classic staple of any good Baseball Fight – and sometimes, if we're lucky, there's a handful of helmet-punching. Honestly, if your favorite team doesn't have at least one Training Camp Fight per preseason, you can kiss the playoffs goodbye. How else would you show that you care than shoving the second-string cornerback because he shoved the third-string tight end?
Fortunately, the Steelers are ready for Week 1.
Huge brawl erupts at Steelers camp after hit on Justin Fields
The delayed penalty flag, thrown 15 feet into the air, really makes this clip. It's a shame to know that if the Steelers coaches only blew their whistles a few more times, this probably wouldn't have happened. Because of every sports movie ever, I assume they all lined up on the goal line and ran suicides for the rest of practice?
On another note, poor Justin Fields. The guy has been the subject of approximately 10,000 cheap shots during his NFL career. He's getting hit with cheap shots in training camp! When you're not even allowed to touch the quarterback! Somewhere, a jaded Bears fan is pointing out that at least Fields' teammates are sticking up for him this time around.
The good news is that there are only three weeks left of training camp, which is more than enough time for another Training Camp Fight or two.
