Some matchups just make sense in the way the colors clash. For decades, for anyone who tuned into a game that featured the Pittsburgh Steelers against the Dallas Cowboys, just the visual of these two teams lining up across from one another creates a special environment.

As the only Super Bowl matchup to take place on three separate occasions, that's to be expected.

Under the lights of Acrisure Stadium, that matchup takes place tonight one more time.

Official Jersey Announcements for Tonight's Game

Neither team made official jersey announcements for the game. Last week, the Cowboys wore an alternate uniform, so Dallas is certainly going back to their classic white jerseys, blue numbers, and grey pants.

The Cowboys did post a 24-hour to-game-time post on 'X' that displayed a few key players in their traditional uniform.

The Steelers posted a similar graphic on 'X' 24 hours from kickoff featuring Patrick Queen in his home threads.

The Steelers wearing black jerseys against the Cowboys' white jerseys is the typical uniform matchup between the two, so fans will enjoy a sense of familiarity. That familiarity won't breed comfort as these two teams are historically close to equal.

No two teams have won more primetime matchups than the Cowboys and Steelers. Dallas holds a slight edge there with 106 victories to Pittsburgh's 98. In the all-time series between the storied franchises, the Cowboys hold a 17-16 advantage. At least Pittsburgh holds a 2-1 advantage in the Super Bowl.

But the past is in the past, and those players won't be in uniform. On that note, the players who won't be suited up could hold the most sway in the contest. Both teams will be missing a premier pass-rusher, Alex Highsmith for Pittsburgh and Micah Parsons for Dallas. The Steelers will also be missing two running backs as Jaylen Warren deals with a hamstring and Cordarrelle Patterson tends to his ankle injury.

Still, when these colors, these uniforms take the field, fans across America are sure to expect fireworks.
