What time is the Steelers game today?
By Tommy Jaggi
The Pittsburgh Steelers opened the 2023 season with two primetime football games in the first three weeks of the season. This has been a treat for fans -- especially considering that Mike Tomlin's team went 2-0 under the lights against AFC opponents in back-to-back weeks.
Now the Steelers will exit the national spotlight and play a game that hardly every football fan in the country will be watching. After an incredibly bumpy start to the season in a 30-7 blowout loss to the 49ers, things have gradually started looking up for Pittsburgh.
Kenny Pickett still has ample room for improvement, but his game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday Night Football very well may have been the best of his young NFL career so far. Pickett earned career highs in passer rating, passing touchdowns, and yards per attempt in a single start.
Meanwhile, all eyes have been on the utterly dominant performance of All-Pro T.J. Watt. He and Alex Highsmith have been a dynamic duo so far, and they will look to continue their dominant run into Week 4. So what time can you catch the Steelers game today?
What time do the Steelers play today?
The Pittsburgh Steelers and Houston Texans are set to face each other today for Week 4 action. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The Steelers are currently favored in this AFC contest.
Tomlin's team is on the road this week. They have done a lot of traveling in the past six days. On their way back from Las Vegas, they were forced to make an emergency landing in Kansas City. A few days later they made the trip to Houston.
Today's game between the Steelers and Texans will feature two young quarterbacks and former first-round draft picks. In Week 1, Pickett was outplayed by Mr. Irrelevant, Brock Purdy. Now he will look for his revenge against C.J. Stroud (who is off to a great start in Houston).
The Texans are coming off an impressive 37-17 win against the Jaguars in Week 3, so this won't be a walk in the park for the Pittsburgh Steelers. This game will be broadcast locally on CBS but is not the national 1:00 p.m. game this week. Check out the coverage map from 506 Sports to see if you will be getting the game today.
