Pittsburgh Steelers fans might feel hesitant to tune on to another game after what we witnessed in Week 4. On October 1st, Mike Tomlin's team was humiliated by a young, banged-up Houston Texans squad on the road. This proved to be Pittsburgh's second blowout loss in just four games.

Even though it's been a rocky start to the 2023 season, the Pittsburgh Steelers are still very much in the playoff hunt early in the year. In fact, as poorly as things have gone at times, this team could be in first place in the AFC North with a win today.

The Steelers will host the Baltimore Ravens for this pivotal Week 5 contest. This is a huge AFC North game that could have a ripple effect on what happens the rest of the way.

When is the Steelers vs. Ravens game today?

In many cases, the heated rivalry between these two teams would call for a primetime viewing slot. Not in this case, however. Though the league does have the ability to flex games in and out of primetime, they won't do so for the Steelers vs. Ravens this week.

Instead, you can catch this game in the early afternoon slot at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time. This is the first of two contests against the Baltimore Ravens in 2023. Their next game won't come until Week 18 in the final game of the season. The exact date and time of their second matchup is still to be determined.

What channel is the Steelers game on?

Unlike last week when the Steelers game was only shown in local broadcasting areas, the Steelers vs. Ravens game is the featured CBS game during the early slate, and most of the country will be getting this one. Ian Eagle and Charles Davis will be calling the game. Be sure to check out the NFL coverage map from 506 Sports to see if you get the game in your area.

What happened the last time the Steelers vs. Ravens played?

Last year, Mitch Trubisky was forced to come into the first game against the Ravens in Week 14 after Kenny Pickett suffered a concussion in the first quarter. Unfortunately, Trubisky threw three interceptions in a game that ultimately resulted in a 14-16 loss to Baltimore.

In their final matchup of 2022, Pickett and the Steelers bested the Ravens on New Year's Day. It was another low-scoring affair and Pittsburgh came away with a narrow 16-13 victory that required a game-winning drive.

Is Kenny Pickett playing today?

Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett sustained a bone bruise to his left knee last week during the Texans game. While he was limited in practice to begin the week, Pickett was a full participant on Thursday and Friday, according to the official Steelers injury report. He is expected to suit up and start at quarterback this afternoon against the Ravens.
