The Steelers coaching staff got the team ready to play and it showed

Again, it was a preseason game, but I think it was evident that we were ready to play. Kudos to head coach Mike Tomlin and staff for getting the team ready to play. I don't care who you are and what level you play, a win is a win.

Let's not overlook the fact that the flight back to Pittsburgh was much more jovial coming off a win. The game was frankly won by the fourth quarter. I would offer that the Buccaneers put up 'window dressing' points, in the fourth quarter, but points nonetheless.

I do think that may be an area of concern going forward, but let's see how the rest of the preseason shakes out. For right now, we are off to a good start, we have an offense that can score some points, we have a defense that can hold its own and we have an offensive coordinator who may be turning a corner with respect to play calling.

That is not to say that every play call by Canada was inventive or 'timely', but I did see an improvement over last season and that's all we can ask. The next game may be a different story as it usually is, but as long as we win, that'll be fine by me.
