The second round of the 2024 NFL Draft will begin on April 26th at 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time. This is an hour earlier than the start time of the first round (which is one day earlier on April 25th). Pre-draft coverage will take place before Day 2 of the draft opens with the 33rd pick on the clock.

How many picks do Steelers have on Day 2 of the NFL Draft

The Pittsburgh Steelers will have three total selections on Day 2 of the 2024 NFL Draft: a second-round pick (51 overall), and two third-round picks (84 overall and 98 overall). These picks can be traded during the draft.

How much time do NFL teams get to make their picks on Day 2?

In the first round, every team is allowed 10 minutes to make their selection. In Round 2, that time is cut down to just 7 minutes, per Football Operations. NFL teams will have only 5 minutes to make their pick in Round 3.

How long is Day 2 of the NFL Draft?

While the start time is set for 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time, there is no exact time frame in which the final selection will be made on Day 2 of the NFL Draft.

Doing some simple math, Round 2 could take up to 224 minutes if every team uses all 7 minutes. Round 3 could take up to 185 minutes. This means the maximum length of Day 2 of the NFL Draft could stretch 409 minutes, or 6 hours and 49 minutes.

Not every team is going to use all of their time on the clock to make their selections, and the estimated time to complete Day 2 of the NFL Draft is 4-6 hours.
