The Pittsburgh Steelers are looking to begin the 2024 season with a 2-0 record and stay atop the AFC North. After defeating the Falcons in Atlanta, Mike Tomlin's team is in the Mile High City for a matchup against the Denver Broncos.

Pittsburgh is favored in this contest, but we know better than to take an underdog opponent lightly -- especially one from the AFC West and traveling across time zones.

In Week 1, we saw how big of a factor the officials can play in the game, and several egregious calls cost T.J. Watt the AFC Defensive Player of the Week award and nearly changed the outcome of the game. Here are the announcers and referees for today's Steelers vs. Broncos game.

Announcers for Steelers vs. Broncos

  • Lead Play-by-Play Announcer: Spero Dedes
  • Color Commentator: Adam Archuleta
  • Sideline Reporter: Aditi Kinkhabwala

The Steelers vs. Broncos game didn't draw the top CBS announcer crew of Jim Nantz and Tony Romo, as they will be covering the Bengals vs. Chiefs game in the same late-afternoon time slot (which most of the country will be seeing).

Instead, the Steelers will get Spero Dedes calling the play-by-play with former NFL safety Adam Archuleta as the color analyst. Aditi Kinkhabwala will report live from the sidelines at Empower Field in Denver.

Considering this game is expected to be a low-scoring affair that includes at least one non-playoff team, it only makes sense for CBS to allocate their top-paid broadcast crew to the showdown between quarterbacks Joe Burrow and Patrick Mahomes today.

Referees for Steelers vs. Broncos

Head Referee (Crew Chief)

The head official for the Steelers vs. Broncos game will be Clete Blakeman. With 17 years of experience as an NFL referee, Blakeman has one of the most established officiating crews in the game.

In Week 1, Blakeman's crew let the yellow laundry fly 22 times with 11 penalties against the offense and 11 against the defense. His flag-happy performance resembled what we saw in Atlanta in Week 1. Last year, Blakeman threw just 10.59 penalties per game, and the home team won 64.71 percent of the contests he officiated.
