With no playoff success since 2017, the Steelers are not highly favored against the Ravens.

It was just a couple of weeks ago when fans of the Steelers were pointing to the Ravens record against Pittsburgh. It was something that highly favored The Black and Gold. Everyone knew that Baltimore would win eventually, but it was in a dominant fashion last time. It might be a precursor for the Ravens in a stretch where they could start to dominate the rivalry.

Those who hold onto hope for the Steelers, as they head into the postseason with an 0-4 record, will count on quick change. It seems unlikely, but maybe Pittsburgh can find an alternative way to win football games in the playoffs. They have found success against Lamar Jackson and the Ravens previously and perhaps they can play spoiler in Baltimore once more.

Jackson has also shown plenty of struggles in the postseason, which has brought criticism to his career. He is like the Mike Tomlin of quarterbacks in that sense. Neither have done great things after the regular season concludes.

No one will be predicting the Steelers to go into Baltimore and come out with their playoff hopes still running. It is going to be a tough outing for the away club.

Pittsburgh vs. Baltimore Wild Card prediction: Steelers 20, Ravens 31

There is only one way to victory for the Steelers in this game, and that's to make it a low-scoring affair. Their defense has to play their best game of the campaign to even give their club a chance. Jackson is playing some great football, and his club is on a great path. Baltimore is flying under the radar heading into the playoffs due to the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs catching most headlines.

If T.J. Watt and company can force a couple of turnovers, then they will stick in this game. They weren't able to cause enough disruption against Jackson last time, and that allowed the Ravens to open up their game plan. If they have a similar outing as the last game, then it could get ugly. Pittsburgh can't count on Russell Wilson and their offense to try and outscore Baltimore.

All of the momentum is on the Raven's side heading into this game. As Baltimore heads into the playoffs with a dominant 4-0 record to end their season, Pittsburgh couldn't conjure up a single victory in their last four battles. This will be an uphill battle for the away club just to stay in this game. They are not only losing, but they are finding ways to push themselves further from victory.

Expect Jackson and Derrick Henry to have good games. Wilson and the offense will put up a small fight, but it won't be enough. Unless the Steelers win the turnover battle by a significant margin, they will struggle to even remain in the game into the fourth quarter. Pittsburgh remains a big underdog going into this playoff battle, and with Tomin's struggles, don't expect a win on the road.
