Ranking Steelers players most likely to make the Hall of Fame one day

It's aging talent, but there is more Hall of Fame talent on this squad than you would think.

Even though the Pittsburgh Steelers have a clear ceiling this year, this team still sports a ton of quality players. For 2026, at least, it might not be enough, but I guess if the goal is another 10-win season and a Wild Card berth, things are looking great.

What the Steelers do have, if nothing else, is a handful of players who may one day end up in the Hall of Fame, perhaps the biggest individual honor in all of professional sports. Pittsburgh will need these key players to play their best as well if they want any chance at a playoff run.

That also got us thinking further about these players. Let's rank how likely they are to make the Hall of Fame one day.

Which Pittsburgh Steelers will make the Hall of Fame one day?

4. Cam Heyward

Cam Heyward's longevity is going to go a long way in a potential Hall of Fame bid. Having now played 15 years in the NFL, Heyward has played in 228 regular season games, starting 193 of them.

He's made seven Pro Bowls and been named to the first-team All-Pro squad four times, also winning what many players consider the best individual award in the Walter Payton Man of the Year back in 2023.

Heyward was a second-team All-Pro this past season and has 92 sacks, 142 tackles for loss, and 208 quarterback hits across his career, so he does have some gaudy totals that could go in his favor. The lack of notable playoff accomplishments could work against him, and while football could not be more of a team sport, Heyward not having a Super Bowl title won't do him any favors.

3. Jalen Ramsey

Jalen Ramsey should end up in the Hall of Fame. He's an eight-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro, also having won a Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams back in 2021.

Ramsey has 25 career interceptions and 116 passes defended across his career. He's also been able to sustain a high enough level of play for a decade in this league, having made the Pro Bowl in five of the last six seasons.

He's obviously not the player he once was, but he should be able to end up in the Hall of Fame. Ramsey has been one of the best defensive backs of this generation.

2. TJ Watt

One of two players on this list who I believe will be sure-fire Hall of Fame locks, TJ Watt comes in at No. 2 in our rankings. Watt is an eight-time Pro Bowler and four-time All-Pro, also having won the Defensive Player of the Year award in 2021, the year he notched 22.5 sacks, which is the second-best total in a season all-time.

Watt now has 115 career sacks with 244 quarterback hits. He's one of the best pass-rushers of the 21st century and belongs in the Hall of Fame.

1. Aaron Rodgers

This isn't a question - Aaron Rodgers will one day be in the Hall of Fame, likely on the first ballot. He's top-5 all-time at the position, a four-time MVP, and a Super Bowl champion. A 10-time Pro Bowler and four-time All-Pro, Rodgers boasts all-time marks in interception rate and passer rating. He's won 163 regular season games and has another 11 playoff wins.

Rodgers' future Hall of Fame bid is going to be rather seamless. Sure, some have thought he should have more titles, but he is currently the most talented thrower of the football of all-time and is a lock for the Hall of Fame.
