Steelers expecting shockingly pleasant weather conditions on Sunday vs. Ravens
By Tommy Jaggi
When it's mid-November in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, you never know what the weather is going to be like. We've seen torrential rain, swirling winds, and even snow this time of year. It's because of the conditions we've experienced that makes this Sunday's forecast for the Steelers game against the Ravens too good to be true.
These two bitter AFC North rivals have played each other under the harshest of conditions. When these teams played in Baltimore last season, heavy showers soaked the field.
While we can expect this game between two heated rivals to get chippy, the surprisingly pleasant weather conditions will make this highly-anticipated contest even more enjoyable for those watching from Acrisure Stadium.
Steelers will get September-like weather conditions vs. Ravens
The Pittsburgh Steelers will host the Baltimore Ravens at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Sunday at Acrisure Stadium. Though this game will be played on November 17th, it's going to feel like it's mid-September for this Week 11 contest.
According to AccuWeather.com, it's going to be 62 degrees in Pittsburgh on Sunday with 70 percent cloud cover and just a one percent chance of rain. A pleasant breeze of 7 miles per hour south-southwest winds will roll through in the afternoon.
The average temperature in Pittsburgh this time of year is 50 degrees with a low of 35 degrees. Shockingly, November 17 of last year also saw unpredicted warm weather conditions in Pittsburgh -- hitting a high of 64 degrees.
For fans who ordered tickets long ago to catch the hard-hitting Steelers vs. Ravens action, they won't be disappointed with the forecast for Sunday. These two teams will be fighting tooth and nail for positioning in the AFC North, and this could prove to be the climax of the season for these divisional rivals.
The Steelers are home underdogs in this contest but are coming off their fourth straight win. This is a game that could come down to the wire, and the weather forecast gives fans attending the game even more reason to get excited for Week 11.
