Steelers vs. Ravens picks: Still Curtain predicts a rough game for Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh is still riding high off their massive comeback victory against a tough Washington Commanders team. They found a way to win even though there were points in the battle where it seemed like the Commanders had a firm grasp on victory. Hopefully, the Steelers are still not fixated on celebrating that victory as they have to quickly turn their attention to the Ravens.
Overcoming the remainder of their schedule will be difficult to accomplish. They have been playing good football, but the black and gold have also shown some signs of concern along the way. Their offense has sputtered at times, and Washington forced them into a hole after a good start. Their defense is the main issue right now, as they can't compete against quality offenses.
Baltimore comes into this game winning their last seven of nine games. They might have started their schedule off slow, but they have carried their offensive firepower to new heights as a team. Lamar Jackson is playing well as he continues to play with a balanced approach. The Ravens are also coming off a long week of preparation as they played their previous game on Thursday night.
Still Curtain Expert panel predictions not in Steelers corner
"After narrowly escaping with a road win against the Commanders, the Steelers will look to keep the momentum going at home against the Ravens. Unfortunately for the Steelers, the Ravens running game will prove to be too much to handle." - Eric C Hassel (Ravens 23-20)
"The Steelers have had an incredible four-game run dating back before the bye week. Unfortunately, the buck stops here. This isn't yesterday's Baltimore Ravens team, and Lamar Jackson is having an MVP-caliber season. Pittsburgh proved they can win a 28-27 game against the Commanders in Week 10, but this one could require 30+ points to get the job done. Do they have enough firepower in their arsenal? I think this one turns into a shootout, and the Ravens' impressive offense continues their dominant run." - Tommy Jaggi (Ravens 31-28)

"The Ravens have to break the trend against the Steelers eventually, right? They're 1-7 against Pittsburgh since 2020. But the Steelers are on a roll, and it's tough to choose against them here." - Jacob Harrison (Steelers 27-24)
"The Steelers are a hot team facing a daunting Ravens team. What should be one of the best games this week, I think Pittsburgh comes back down to earth this week. Baltimore is playing elite football right now, and I'm curious how this offense responds to adversity. AFC North games are always close, and this one is no exception, but I have Baltimore winning." - Andrew Falce (Ravens 24-20)
"The Pittsburgh Steelers rely on their dominant defense and developing offense to defeat the Baltimore Ravens. Lamar Jackson does his best to end the Steelers’ win streak but comes up short." - Loyal Ricks Jr. (Steelers 32-20)
Final predictions has Steelers not doing enough to stop the Ravens
Score Prediction: Steelers 24, Ravens 27
When it comes down to it, there are a lot of question marks for the Steelers heading into their Week 11 matchup against the Ravens. Their offense might have to perform better than they did last week, which could be a tall ask, even if Baltimore's defense has shown signs of struggle this year. Pittsburgh's defense will be the X-factor when it comes to the outcome of this AFC North fight.
Jackson has been great since Week 2 of the season, but he has a poor track record against the Steelers. Being on the road won't help the Raven's chances either. Their extra couple of days of rest and preparation will only strengthen Baltimore's chances. History tells us this should be a low-scoring affair where the black and gold make a push to win the game. It should be at least close, but not low-scoring.
Thus far, the black and gold's defense has disappointed most when they have gone up against quality offenses this year, especially when they have a good quarterback. Normally, the Steeler's defense does well against the Ravens, but they are showing a poor track record to this point in the campaign. Jackson and company are playing good football, and they are going to move the ball effectively.
Turnovers have to be accomplished if the black and gold want a shot at winning this game. They have to give Russell Wilson and the Steelers offense better field position and set up for scoring touchdowns. If they can accomplish that, then they will have a shot at winning. Expect a tight game that sees the offenses produce points, but the defense won't do enough for the Steelers to win.
