RIP Eleanor

As reported by Pittsburgh’s KDKA, Eleanor Gallagher passed away peacefully on Wednesday at the age of 81. The Wilkes-Barre newspaper published her obituary which includes the following paragraph:

"“Eleanor was a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and the family firmly believes that the recent separation of Dick LeBeau and the Steelers’ poor performance this season might have inadvertently contributed to her demise.”"

And you thought you were too emotionally involved in the Steelers, didn’t you?

O-H

There are a lot of former Ohio State Buckeyes on the Steelers roster and there’s no doubt that they were stoked to watch their team with the National Championship earlier this week. Teresa Varley explains that one particular Steeler and former Buckeye was only reminded how he wants to improve to win a championship of his own.

"“We only got one sack the last game and we have to have more. We have to have more guys get to the quarterback, myself included. Anytime it’s a pass, I have to get more pressure. We have a lot of guys who can rush the passer and we have to go out there and do a better job.” – Cameron Heyward"
