Steelers 2015 Draft Order

The 2015 NFL Draft takes place April 30-May 2 in Chicago this year. The first round kicks off Thursday, April 30 at 8:00 pm ET. The Steelers have eight total picks in the draft and here’s a breakdown of their draft order.

Vote for your Steelers

The NFL’s version of March Madness Bracketology is still going strong and so are two of the Steelers’ greatest games. You can vote for the Steelers win over the Dallas Cowboys in Super Bowl XIII to beat the New England Patriots win over Seattle in Super Bowl XLIX in the “Dynasty Makers vs. Crazy Endings” division.

On the other side of the bracket we have the Steelers win over the Arizona Cardinals in Super Bowl XLIII up against the 2011 NFL Divisional Playoff between the New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers in “Individual Heroics vs. Great From the Get-Go.” Voting ends April first to get aht and vote for your Steelers!

Steelers hosting Randy Gregory

ESPN’s Scott Brown reports that the Steelers aren’t shying away from one of the most talented players in the draft, pass rusher Randy Gregory from Nebraska, even after he did one of the most bone-headed things anyone can possibly do. Gregory tested positive for marijuana at the NFL Scouting Combine but the Steelers are still bringing in the pass rusher for a pre-draft visit.

ESPN’s Todd McShay ranks Gregory as the seventh best player in the draft while Mel Kiper Jr. has him ranked as the 11th best player. But, at 6’5”, 235lbs and 17 ½ sacks in two seasons at Nebraska you have to wonder if his draft stock has dropped since failing to realize that really should be common knowledge for all players entering the combine = they will test you for marijuana.

Brown explains that Gregory told the NFL Network earlier this week that he tested positive for marijuana at the NFL Combine last month and he reportedly failed multiple drug tests at Nebraska. It would be a gamble either way for the Steelers to get Gregory, it’s not likely that his latest failed drug test could plummet him all the way down to the 22nd spot and even then is it worth it to draft him?
