Scobee Don’t

After missing two more field goals, one of them being a potential game-winner and thereby causing the coaching staff to have so little faith in him they opted to not go for a 50-yard field goal to win it in overtime Pittsburgh Twitter was not kind to Josh Scobee.

Here are some of the greatest hits.

The streak ends

Antonio Brown’s streak of games with at least five receptions for at least 50 yards has ended at 35 games. Still an impressive receiving record. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler notes Brown finished the night with five catches for 42 yards, just eight yards short of keeping the streak alive. Brown dropped what looked like a sure touchdown but it went through Browns arms as he went to the ground in the end zone. The next-longest streak in NFL history after Brown is Laveranues Coles with 19 games.

Tomlin’s decisions

While Scobee is going to take plenty of heat for missing those kicks, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is getting some heat for his decision to have Vick throw the ball on 4th and 1 in overtime as opposed to handing it off to Le’Veon Bell or even DeAngelo Williams is head-scratching to put it mildly.
