Munchak on starting over in Pittsburgh
Few people are in the position that Mike Munchak is in this season. After having been dismissed by the only NFL organization he had ever been associated with he came to Pittsburgh and there’s been a seemingly nonstop love-fest ever since. As ESPN’s Scott Brown details, many have described Mike Munchak’s hiring as the new Offensive Line coach as one of, if not the best offseason move made by the Steelers. Munchak is eager for his fresh start with the Steelers and a fresh start for the lineman.

Analytical football with Todd Haley
The Trib’s Mark Kaboly sat down with Steelers OC Todd Haley about using analytics in football. It’s a relatively new practice and not even half as advanced or complicated as what’s used in MLB or the NHL but Haley has been implementing using analytics as part of the offense to determine things like when is the best time to kick a field goal or go on fourth down. Haley uses the analytics to determine the best outcome in deciding whether to go for it or to try a long field goal.
