Bruce’s Pittsburgh Part 2
Steelers backup quarterback and Pittsburgh native Bruce Gradkowski takes us on part 2 of his journey through Pittsburgh. In this edition he stops on top of the Mt. Washington overlook which provides one of, if not the best, views of the city skyline. He also stops in Firori’s Pizzaria with wide receiver Lance Moore, who was Gradkowski’s roommate at Toledo. Of course a tour of Pittsburgh isn’t complete without a stop at Primanti Bros in the Strip District. You can watch Part 2 right here.
Steelers offered Finley a deal
Free agent tight end Jermichael Finley is still recovering from spinal cord surgery but he told Tom Pelissero of USA Today Sports that he still is considering signing with a team. Probably not likely that is the Pittsburgh Steelers, as the money he was looking for certainly wasn’t offered by them.
"“Pittsburgh have showed me a couple deals, but we all know the money ain’t what it’s supposed to be. If I quit the game right now, I can take tax-free money, and that’s a difficult thing that I’m going through with myself…” – Jermichael Finley"
PFT Preseason Power Rankings
The Pittsburgh Steelers ranked fifteen on Pro Football Talk’s Preseason Power Rankings. Mike Florio, and all his infinite wisdom, explains the Steelers strengths are Ben Roethlisberger, the offseason improvement to the running game, the offensive line, and linebacking corps. He contends the weaknesses are the lack of proven talent at wide receiver other than Antonio Brown, the lack of depth at tight end, and of course the cornerback position. Do you agree with the assessment?
