So with that being said, anyone would rightly assume that the best selling jersey of anyone on the Pittsburgh Steelers has to belong to Ben Roethlisberger, right?
Wrong.
According to the DICK’S Sporting Goods Jersey Report, which reflects sales both nationwide and online, Big Ben actually is not the best-selling jersey on the team. Actually, he’s not even a close second. No, Ben is actually the owner of the No. 4 selling jersey on the team.
In front of the two-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback are safety Troy Polamalu, tight end Heath Miller and wide receiver Antonio Brown. All three of these players have national name recognition, just not on the level that Roethlisberger.
However, this just goes to show how much the Steelers fans love their team as a whole. This stat isn’t to say that they don’t love Roethlisberger by any means, rather the Pittsburgh fan base loves the entire team as a whole. It just so happens to be that they love a few more other players more than they love Ben.
Well, at least the jersey sales currently through the season reflect that notion.
Here is a look at where the Steelers sales stack up as a team so far this season.
