So to just get this out of the way Justin Bieber for some reason inexplicably showed up at the Steelers’ Saturday night bible study they were holding at whatever hotel they were staying at in New Jersey. He then proceeded to take selfies with various members of the Steelers, sealing his curse on the team. All week long we heard from Steelers coaching staff that the theme of the week was to not take the Jets lightly and to avoid a letdown after an emotional win last week and back-to-back historically good offensive performances by Ben Roethlisberger. What happens on the field on Sunday? The Steelers two best offensive players accounted for all four of the teams’ turnovers and the team could not recover enough to pull out a victory over a bad Jets team.

Mike Tomlin’s record against teams with .200 or less records on the road is 1-8. Now that’s a staggering statistic and it’s hard to ignore. But if you’re taking that stat and ignoring the four turnovers you’re missing a whole lot of what happened on that field on Sunday. It’s not that difficult. You’re not going to win if you cough up the ball that many times. Also, after hitting his career-long 53-yard field goal in the first half, Shaun Suisham missed a 23-yard field goal attempt early in the fourth quarter. This was a loss by the whole team, from top to bottom. The same players that blew our minds the past two weeks with their amazing plays, blew the game with their mistakes.

In the NFL it’s all about how good is your good and how bad is your bad. Well, the Steelers’ good is really friggin good and their bad is just awful. The test of this team will be how they rebound from this loss and take care of business on the road next week in Tennessee.

On to the Titans!

Here we go Steelers! Here we go!
