All-Pro running back Le’Veon Bell (hyperextended knee) is out for the first time all season after suffering his knee injury last week against the Bengals. Bell was officially ruled out yesterday after missing the entire week of practice. With Bell out, Josh Harris is expected to get the bulk of the carries. Dri Archer and Ben Tate are also expected to play larger roles.
Safety Troy Polamalu (knee) will start for the first time in two weeks. Ike Taylor is inactive once again with a forearm and shoulder injury. Taylor was probable but was unlikely to start over Brice McCain, William Gay, or Antwon Blake.
The rest of the Steelers injury report contained players listed as probable, all of whom practiced fully on Friday other than James Harrison. He sat out with an illness but is active tonight.
