It’s so hard to say goodbye to yesterday

Could LeBeau be just the beginning of departures from the Steelers defense this offseason? The Steelers say goodbye to a legend with Dick LeBeau announcing he’s “resigning, not retiring” from his position as Defensive Coordinator. Speculation has swirled from the moment his announcement was made from the fact that there was no press conference or fanfare to go along with the announcement to whether or not the Steelers organization saw this coming.

Art Rooney II gave his response to the news in an excellent piece on LeBeau written by Bob Labriola.

"“I want to publicly thank Coach LeBeau for his many contributions to the Steelers organization over 16 seasons. He is one of the finest men who has ever been connected to the Steelers, and the NFL. His leadership has positively impacted so many players and other members of our staff. I will always be grateful for what he has taught us about the game of football and about life.” – Art Rooney II"

What’s next for the Steelers defense? Only time will tell. Until then, I’ll just leave this here.

Here we go Steelers! Here we go!
