The Steelers offseason started with some surprises and certainly doesn’t look to be a boring one in the next few months. Steelers Extend Wing

The Steelers have made their first contract extension of the offseason, but not the one we’ve been all hoping for. They announced on Friday afternoon that they have signed punter Brad Wing to a one-year contract after his first season with the Steelers. Wing had some inconsistencies this season with his punts but overall the coaching staff was pleased with the way he responded to the bad kicks. They tend to bring in an extra punter for training camp so Wing should expect some competition come August.

Mr. Brady, your pants are on fire

Former Steelers running back and current ESPN analyst Jerome Bettis didn’t pull any punches on Thursday after New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady gave a press conference denying any involvement in how his balls got so deflated for the AFC Championship Game.

"“I can’t believe it…I need to take a sip of water. I could not believe what I had heard. I’m so disappointed. I thought this was the perfect opportunity for Tom Brady to go and say, ‘You know what? I made a mistake. I blew it. It’s on me. I’ll take the blame here and this will go away. He didn’t do that.” – Jerome Bettis"

Jerome might not be getting the HOF votes from the Boston area representatives next weekend but it needed to be said. The scandal has gotten to ridiculous levels thanks to Tom Brady’s press conference for which I’m convinced he purposely said “balls” as many times as he could as if he were playing the “Meow” game from

Super Troopers

. Both Belichick and Brady basically dared the NFL to prove they did anything wrong and dared them to do anything about it before the Super Bowl.

Harbaugh thinks he’s hilarious

Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh is coaching Team Carter in the Pro Bowl and because of that he’s in a position to coach some of his AFC North rival opponents. He took the opportunity to make a funny by saying how shocked he was to see that the Steelers and Bengals players were “good people.”

"“I’ve been hanging out with the Bengals and Steelers players over here and they seem like good people…I’m shocked.” – John Harbaugh"

This coming from the guy who firmly stood behind Ray Rice before the crap hit the fan as well as just had a player released from his team amid animal cruelty charges. Harbaugh, that old knucklehead. Jagoff.
