Is that 2 more players on your roster or are you just happy to see me?

Mike Florio of PFT explains that the NFL’s Competition Committee is mulling over the idea of expanding the NFL roster from 53 to 55. The fact that the salary cap keeps steadily increasing each year and the rookie wage scale saving teams more money means that this could be a reality and not just a fleeting idea.
An extra two roster spots could certainly help out teams in terms of injury during the season. For those that don’t know, the active roster is 53 men but only 46 are activated on game days. Being able to carry and extra two players on the active roster would give all NFL teams more protection to keep players on the roster for depth. I wonder if this would in turn increase the active game day roster as well?
