Podcast: Talking Steelers Draft Results With City of Champions

facebooktwitterreddit

The Steelers draft is well over, and the Monday morning GM’s have been handing down grades and discussed the good and bad of each selection.

On Tuesday, I joined our sister site City of Champions’ co-editor Matt Gajtka to discuss the draft selections a bit more rationally than the typical knee jerk reactions immediately following the draft.

Matt sets the table for each of the Steelers selections, and I give my insight into each pick and how we might see each of these young men fit within the current scheme.

Many questions surround Senquez Golson, Sammie Coates, and the Jesse James selections. The mood sustains a positive tone for most of the podcast – after all, the Steelers have been given a fairly good grade by most of the experts.

Pay close attention during the discussion about how the heavy defensive player draft must be able to take the field sooner in Steelers new defensive coordinator Keith Butler’s defense.
