Five teams enter Week 7 in the NFL regular season undefeated, the most sense the league merger. The unbeaten pressure was too much for the Falcons to handle as they fell to New Orleans last week. Which will be the next team to fall? You have to watch and find out.
Here are Still Curtain we are not only a bunch of nerds who follow the Steelers tirelessly but we are also a bunch of nerds who follow the NFL tirelessly. Therefore we put our money (or maybe just our pride) where our mouths are and make picks on every NFL game on the schedule week in and week out.
We don’t mess around with point spreads or anything like that. Just straight up picks.
Our NFL week begins with a Thursday NFC West divisional matchup featuring two teams that used to have a much more heated rivalry. Something about the Seahawks and 49ers both sitting at 2-7 duking it out just doesn’t have the same intense feeling to it anymore. Plus, we don’t have that added interest in wondering if Pete Carroll and Jim Harbaugh are going to have a slap fight at mid-field when the game ends. Snooze.
The NFL invades London again this week with the Buffalo Bills taking on the Jacksonville Jaguars in a game that will be so interesting, the league is streaming it for free on Yahoo Sports. Best part is that it will be on first thing in the morning so you can have a full day and night of football on Sunday.
The Steelers look to win three in a row for the first time this season as they travel to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs. It’s still undecided whether or not Ben Roethlisberger or Landry Jones will start the game but at least Steelers fans can take comfort in the kicking situation as Chris Boswell was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week after going 4-for-4 against Arizona.
Last week there was a five-way tie for the win between myself, Justin, Zack, Remy and Jack. Someone is going to have to start taking some chances on their picks apparently. Dom and Zack are tied for the overall lead, in spite of picking Arizona to beat the Steelers last week.
Feel free to join us in making picks of your own in the comments section, or take the opportunity to heckle and criticize our picks if that’s your deal. Make picks of your own or you can root for your favorite Still Curtain staffer!
