If it was hard for you to realize that former Ravens wide receiver
Jacoby Jonesis now a Pittsburgh Steelers imagine how he felt.
when he initially got the call, he thought it was a joke.
"“The first phone call I got I thought someone was messing with me. I was like who is this?” – Jacoby Jones"
But, after arriving at the facility, and joining his new team Jones is ready to get right to work and give it his all. He’s doing his best to learn the playbook and try to be ready to go against the Raiders on Sunday.
"“I am going to go back to the hotel and just look at the playbook and try to get some of it installed in this brain of mine. I love the play ball and have fun playing the game and meeting new brothers. I have a whole new family now. I am embracing it.” – Jacoby Jones"
Get back to it, Tuitt
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler illustrates that the release of former third-round draft pick Dri Archer is a reminder that sometimes draft picks just don’t work out. It happens will other teams as well as the Steelers, in case you were wondering.
Defensive end Stephon Tuitt, on the other hand, it’s the opposite case. With his play the second-half of last season and so far this season he surely is validating his second-round pedigree and hopes to return to making his presence on the defensive line painfully known to the opposition.
The little things can add up
Sometimes what you see is what you see. The Steelers are sitting at 4-4 and are the victims of their own un-doing in those four losses, according to Ray Fittipaldo of the PPG. Self-inflicted wounds like turnovers, untimely penalties and dropped passes were prominent in each of the Steelers’ losses.
Fittipaldo reminds us that the Steelers are 2-3 in games decided by a touchdown or less. The same thing is happening across the league. Through the first half of the 2015 NFL regular season, there have been 60 games decided by the margin of a touchdown or less, just the fourth time that’s happened in the history of the league. For the Steelers, they can’t afford anymore miscues or mistakes.
