The Steelers are looking to build on the hot streak they started with their blowout win of the Colts by taking down the AFC-leading Bengals on the road.

While the Steelers work their way into some AFC North road action we’ll be busy looking for mentions of your Black & Gold so we’ve got you covered. Here’s your Steelers Morning Huddle for Thursday, Dec. 10th.

Fun with numbers

The Steelers football team is having fun. It’s not hard to gather that if you can drop 45 points on a team in a win, it’s going to be fun. Teresa Varley reminds us they are playing a game, after all. Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams talks about how the fun the Steelers have on the field translates to big numbers on the board.

"“I think we are clicking at the right time. It’s not about the numbers, it’s about having fun. The numbers will come if we are having fun. I have been too busy having fun to think about the numbers. With this offense, I think outer space is the limit. We have to continue having fun. Fun equals numbers.” – DeAngelo Williams"

My name is Earl

Steelers tight end Heath Miller is trying to come back from a rib injury and did not practice on Wednesday, per the team’s injury report. Trib Live reporter Ken Laird spoke to Heath about Tomlin using his real first name, and fans calling Jesse James “Heeeeeaaaaath!”

Historical

It feels like each time the Steelers get a big win the national media falls all over themselves trying to put them in conversation to be one of the top teams in the league. Watching how good they can be against a team like the Colts even with the injuries they’ve had this season one can only imagine how this season could’ve gone if everyone was healthy from the jump.

The Steelers are known for being hot in December, being tied for the third in the NFL for the best record in the final four weeks of the season since 2010. Around the NFL’s Chris Wesseling explains how Ben Roethlisberger is leading a historic offense.

Next: Three things needed to beat the Bengals

Even with Roethlisberger missing four games this season he leads all quarterbacks with points per drive, yards per attempt and completions of 40+ yards. Wesseling even goes so far as to say that if it wasn’t for the missed games Roethlisberger’s name would be in the NFL MVP picture.
