The Steelers returned to their winning form against the Chiefs and look to stay perfect against the AFC when the Jets come to town.

While the team recovers from their latest victory and puts the Jets plan in motion we’ll be busy looking for mentions of your Black & Gold so we’ve got you covered. Here’s your Steelers Morning Huddle for Thursday, Oct. 6th.

You got to have faith

More from Steelers News

Before this river of injuries becomes an ocean Ben Roethlisberger would like us to know that you’ve got to have faith. He’s got faith in the next man up and he told Teresa Varley all about it. B.J. Finney did a commendable job stepping in for Ramon Foster already.

"“We have faith and trust and belief in whomever the next man up is. We’ve been able to do that and proven that over the years here. Guys prepare themselves to be ready to go even if a guy is healthy. In this sport you are one play away. We will have faith and trust. At the same time we will not be ridiculous. If there are times we need to send help someone’s way, we will do it.” – Ben Roethlisberger"

Roethlisberger didn’t need any help snagging AFC Offensive Player of the Week honors for the 14th time in his career for his performance of 22 of 27 for 300 yards and five touchdown passes in the 43-14 win over Kansas City.

Straight Fire

Le’Veon Bell is back and better than ever and just to reinforce the theme that he is the man he has blessed us with another track. I’ve listened to it and can confirm it is, indeed, straight fire. I’d give it a minimum of three fire emoji’s.

Truly a man of many talents.

Get out your tissues

DeAngelo Williams gives us more reasons every day to forgive his horrible taste in music by being a Nickelback fan. Williams contributed a story to The Players’ Tribune about his late mother. He describes how his family dealt with breast cancer between his mother and her four sisters.

I can’t even write too much about it because I feel myself tearing up after reading his beautiful tribute. As the NFL begins Breast Cancer Awareness Month you may feel like its commercial and it’s just for show but its way more than that for Williams.

I lost my father to lymphoma four years ago and his battle with cancer was unlike Williams’ mother’s. His cancer was so aggressive he passed away within four months of diagnosis. Still, when Williams calls his mother the strongest woman he’s ever known I know exactly how he feels.

You can purchase one of DeAngelo Williams’ shirts or contribute to his charity right here.
