The NFC Championship kicks off a few hours before the Steelers face the Patriots in the AFC Championship.

The Steelers are in the biggest game of the season against the number one seed New England Patriots. It will  be a hard fought game and hopefully the result is in favor of the Black and Gold.

As is common with New England an interesting development took place last night. The fire alarms at the Steelers hotel went off at three am long enough that fire trucks came to the hotel. Interesting coincidence to say the least.

As is the case every week we won’t put in a pick for the AFC Conference championship. After going 1-2 in Wild card weekend picks we fared much better going 3-0 last week. 4-0 if you include the UNDER pick on the Steelers Chiefs game.

SUNDAY: 3:05PM – Green Bay Packers @ Atlanta Falcons (-6.0)

This game just like the other game should be great. Both teams are hot right now but I feel Atlanta gets the slight edge. In addition to being at home their offence is dynamic, and Matt Ryan is having an MVP season and Atlanta won by a single point when the teams met this year on October 30th.

Aaron Rogers has/had the flu this week and Jordy Nelson will play but must be in pain. Six points though is a big number and I think the winning margin is lower. PICK: Packers.

The OVER/UNDER on the game is 60 points and this looks like it could be one of those types of games. The meeting in October totalled 65 points. Since this game is for all the marbles you have to think there will be more intensity on the defensive side of the ball. BONUS PICK: UNDER 60.
