The Pittsburgh Steelers have a bigger worry than their playoff seeding after losing star wide receiver, Antonio Brown, during their loss to the New England Patriots.

After leaving the game for the hospitalized during the Steelers game against the Patriots, Antonio Brown’s regular season is over. According the multiple sources, the Steelers wideout suffered a partially torn calf muscle that will keep him sidelined at least until the postseason.

Head coach, Mike Tomlin, address the media following the loss during his weekly press conference and told reporters that Brown is being further evaluated at a local hospital.

For a partial calf injury, the Steelers lucked out that Brown is only going to miss the remainder of the regular season. With the potential on this team, losing someone like Brown would be a significant loss.

Now, they’ll only have to go two games before they have a week off and then can return to full form in their first playoff game. Assuming the standing stay as they are now, the Steelers will likely end up the second place team in the AFC and will have to go through New England to get to the Super Bowl.

Outside of Brown, Tomlin told the media the Steelers were dealing with nothing but bumps and bruises. Joe Haden and Vance McDonald continued to miss action, but the Steelers are hoping to possibly get them some playing time over the next two weeks before the playoffs.

The Houston Texans and Cleveland Browns aren’t two teams the Steelers need to be overly worried about. Right now, their biggest concern just needs to be winning and keeping that first-round playoff bye with the potential of the Patriots losing one of their last two games and moving back below the Steelers.

Pittsburgh will utilize JuJu Smith-Schuster and Martavis Bryant over these next two games, but don’t be surprised if Eli Rogers and Justin Hunter make their presence felt in Brown’s absence.
