Chris Boswell

Possibly the biggest surprise this whole season has been the absence of Chris Boswell. His 2017 season was amazing; 35 for 39 on field goals made, a 92.1 field goal percentage, was perfect from over 50 yards, and only missed 2 extra points. So far, Boswell is 1 for 4 on field goals and already missed 2 extra points. What happened to this near perfect kicker?

Boswell missed the game-winning 42-yard field goal in overtime against the Browns, spent the next few days kicking alone in the training facility from over 40 yards, then missed another field goal, this time from 49 yards out.

Aside from all the drama surrounding the team, Boswell’s struggles add to the already lackluster Pittsburgh special teams. Justin Tucker, one of the league’s best kickers, comes to town, so Chris better get back to that practice facility.
