Play 1: Pass Coverage

One of the attributes we are looking for in Devin Bush is how well he’ll fare in pass coverage. And while this play didn’t count because of a roughing the passer penalty, Bush’s ability in pass coverage shined.

As we saw Friday night, Bush nearly came away with an interception that would have more than likely gone for a Steelers touchdown.

Looking deeper into it, his ability to read-and-react here is very fast and quickly gets to the tight end running a quick out route, which should be the safest read for the quarterback here. Bush jumps it quickly and not only gets to his man quickly, but nearly puts six points on the board.

Bush’s speed and football IQ were on display here, and those are a dangerous combination from the inside linebacker position.
