Madden released their ratings for the newest installment in the video game series. Here are the five most disrespected Pittsburgh steelers in their updated ratings.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are one of the NFL’s most storied franchises. Unlike most teams, they seem to be competitive year after year, and they haven’t had a losing season since before Ben Roethlisberger was drafted back in 2004. But despite all of this, Madden’s rating staff was not very kind to many players on the Steelers this year.

Recently, Madden released their ratings for their newest video game, Madden 21. While some ratings appear to be accurate representations of players, others seem way off the mark. Here are the five most disrespected Pittsburgh Steelers in the latest Madden ratings:

T.J. Watt

T.J. Watt was not only the most disrespected player on the team, but he was also the most underappreciated player on the game, in my personal opinion. Despite being a Defensive Player of the Year candidate after a phenomenal 2019 season, Watt earned just an 86 overall rating on Madden 21. In fact, 125 players earned higher ratings this year. That’s just not okay.

Matt Feiler

Since taking over as a starter for the Steelers in 2018, Matt Feiler has been one of the most underappreciated players on the team. That didn’t change upon the release of Madden ratings. While Maurkice Pouncey is still somehow rated an 86 overall despite grading out as the second-worst center in the league last year, Feiler – Steelers top-graded starting offensive lineman, according to Pro Football Focus – earned just a 71 overall rating in Madden this year.

Zach Banner

Aside from T.J. Watt, Zach Banner might be the most disrespected player on the team when it comes to the updated Madden 21 ratings. Though he started just one game last year, Banner was terrific every time he entered the game last year – earning a very respectable PFF grade of 78.3. But despite all of the promise he shows, Banner was given a rating of just 59 overall in the latest Madden.

Chris Boswell

If this was Chris Bowell from the 2018 season, I would have argued that his rating should have been even lower. However, the former Pro Bowl kicker bounced back phenomenally last season – sinking 29 of 31 field goals (93.5 percent) and drilling all 28 of his extra-point attempts. An 82 rating is just too low for how terrific he was last season.

Cameron Sutton

Cameron Sutton has always been a quiet player for the Steelers, but he has been consistently good every time he steps onto the field. Sutton, who mainly plays in nickel and dime defensive packages, actually earned a higher overall PFF grade than both Joe Haden and Mike Hilton last season. Yet despite taking a big leap forward this year, he earned just a 69 rating on Madden this year.

What’s really important is that these players continue to show why they are good on the football field. However, there’s no question these five Pittsburgh Steelers are incredibly underrated on Madden 21.
