Week two brought along a plethora of injuries to teams in, meaning fantasy football owners should be interested in adding these five players

The injury bug crept up during week two, which should make the waiver claims even more vital this week. With stars like Saquon Barkley and Raheem Mostert ending the day on the sidelines, fantasy football owners will be scrambling for replacements. As well, keen owners will look to exploit these injuries and add newly crowned starters for next to nothing.

As stated last week, this list will be comprised of the hottest fantasy football players, but certain positions will be deemed more valuable, meaning they will receive preference on this list (it is harder to find RBs over other positions in fantasy football). As well, every player listed will be owned in less than 30 percent of ESPN leagues. That is a composite number though, meaning that in larger leagues these options may already be on a different team. That said, for the average fantasy league these players should be available to claim this week.

While many fantasy football rosters are already on the breaking point in terms of talent, week two could allow them to rebound. It is still early enough in fantasy football for rankings to rapidly change. Adding players off waivers will be key in achieving this, as finding starting quality players for free can win leagues. Given the surplus of injuries this week, every fantasy player should be active this week in adding new players to their roster.

All of this said, here are the five hottest pickups in fantasy football this week.
