Kwity Paye, EDGE, Michigan

I know that Alex Highsmith was really impressive in limited action as a starter this year, but make no mistake: the Steelers will be looking to add quality depth at edge defender, and Kwity Paye would be a perfect pairing alongside T.J. Watt.

Paye is essentially a Bud Dupree clone with his athleticism and physical makeup. However, he has even more lateral agility than Dupree and he is projected to post an eye-popping number in the three-cone drill. Though teams covet quality edge defenders early in the draft, Paye may not be for everyone. Some teams will be turned off to his squatty frame and lack of length on the edge.

Short arms didn’t seem to bother the Steelers when they spent a first-round pick on Bud Dupree in 2015 (15th percentile arm length, according to Mockdraftable), and there are tons of reasons they will love a player like Kwity Paye. In addition, Mike Tomlin has strong ties to the Michigan area and the Steelers have drafted a handful of players from the state in the last two years. If he slides in the draft, he will be tough to pass on.
