The Steelers have a well-constructed roster, currently, but they could always make some changes as the 2021 season goes along.

The Pittsburgh Steelers normally don’t make a huge shuffle of roster moves once the regular season begins, unless injuries occur. If certain players do begin to struggle in a common trend, then this could become a legitimate option to find a replacement either on the practice squad or through different options.

Players have ups and downs throughout a season, but sometimes it becomes more obvious that some players just overperformed in the preseason process and need to have a replacement brought in.

There could be some other players that could be surprising moves if they struggle even more, like Chuks Okorafor or a depth player like B.J. Finney, but these four on this list are reasonable options.

None have done anything terrible to warrant a release now, but if they struggle or the team needs change elsewhere, then it is possible that these players could be looking for a new home outside of Pittsburgh.

Steelers Punter Pressley Harvin III

Pressley Harvin III beat out veteran Jordan Berry coming out of the pre-season. Harvin won the starting job, and Berry ended up with the Minnesota Vikings.

Harvin had an up-and-down season opener against the Buffalo Bills and he will need to improve going forward.

The name of the game for this player is consistency. He has some amazing punts that raise eyebrows, but then he will shank a punt and cause issues for the oncoming defensive fight. If he continues with the inconsistency issues or gets worse, then he could always be sent packing and another player can be brought in.

Just because he won the job out of camp doesn’t mean he will be the punter for the entire 2021 season no matter what. He needs to improve from Week 1 going forward and not make this a bad habit.
