13. . . . Los Angeles Chargers. 6. team

6. Los Angeles Chargers

Outside of maybe just Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen, Justin Herbert might be the single most valuable asset in the NFL moving forward. At just 23.5 years old, Herbert has continued to build on his dominant rookie season with an outstanding sophomore campaign.

Through the first five weeks of the 2021 season, Herbert is 3rd in the NFL when it comes to his overall Pro Football Focus Grade (90.0). Herbert has already crossed the line into an elite signal-caller, and as such, the Chargers will be competitive in just about every game they play.

What’s so impressive about them this year is the fact that they have been able to go 4-1 and earn quality wins against teams like the Chiefs, Raiders, and Browns. Their only loss of the season was to the Dallas Cowboys in which they fell short by just 3 points.

The second part of their schedule gets a bit easier for Los Angeles and this team will have a legitimate shot to finish with the number one seed in the AFC this year. It will be interesting to see what one of the NFL’s best up-and-coming teams can accomplish in 2021.
