Steelers offensive line and the running game had another strong performance

One of the biggest things fans were dying to see improve as the season went on was the success of the offensive line and running game. I’m pleased to announce that we have seen both of these areas drastically improve over the past two games.

Against the Denver Broncos last week, I thought the offensive line really took their game to a different level. Ben Roethlisberger was well protected and they allowed Najee Harris to explode for a monster game in Week 5.

Much of the same could be said about their performance in Week 6. While the Steelers weren’t quite as effective on the ground, they still paved way for 119 yards on 30 carries (4.0 per carry) and a touchdown, via ESPN. Perhaps even more impressive is that Roethlisberger was rarely pressured in this contest and he took just one sack for -3 yards on the night.

With Najee Harris and the offensive line starting to string together some respectable performances, it gives fans hope that these young guys will continue to improve by late in the 2021 season.
