James Washington has not been given a ton of opportunities with the Steelers. That is more because of how talented and deep this receiving core is than his ability being in question. This player was one of the best college receivers coming out of Oklahoma State and that is what led to this franchise selecting him.

He did ask for a trade early in the pre-season process but he will be sticking with the black and gold for at least this upcoming season. Pittsburgh needs to give this player a real chance to prove himself to the NFL each week. Getting creative on offense so this player can see his snap count increase should be high on the priority list in 2021.

This guy is great at contested catches and getting at the high point of the ball. He is probably the best in that receiving room when it comes to making a physical catch. His hands are the real deal as he rarely has any dropping issues which stands out for a Steelers team that struggled with that last season.

Washington will likely move onto another team after this year concludes during his free agency process. His next team should get the most out of him as this player enters his prime. This player should get a great opportunity to be a top two or three option for another NFL franchise.
